Hi,
I've had a recent unprotected sexual encounter with a trans male who has underwent sex change surgery. Unfortunately I had no idea about the same before the encounter. I am scared that she might have HIV. I did asked her the same after the encounter she said she is on PrEP, however I am not confident and convinced about the same and super stressed about the entire scenario. Please advise what should be the best possible step to avoid risk of catching HIV. I am writing this right 1 hour after the sexual encounter.
Please Advise!
Thanks

At this stage you can't avoid the risk of infection at this stage. That phase is already over. Now you should get repeated HIV tests done over the next six months. Don't have sex with any male or female till the time you are cleared of all dangers of HIV.
There are other sexually transmitted diseases in addition to AIDS which you might have acquired.
