Gum swelling
I got my lower left wisdom teeth removed. 2 days back i completed my rct along with crown. I have pain and swelling in the outer side gum and the inner cheek around the rct molar. Doctor tapped on the rct tooth. There was so pain. But it pained when she touched my gum. She concluded that my gum might be infected. She gave me mupirocin ointment to apply on the gums. This is not helping me. Pls suggest me how do i reduce the pain and swelling. Ps. It pains only when i touch the area.

Get an X-ray done to check the root canal. If the swelling persists the root canal needs to be rechecked. You have not mentioned if that area is near the extraction site?
