Gum Swallowing and Pain
I'm going through orthodontic treatment. Recently gum has swallowed in inner side and outer side also and become reddish. I am feeling pain for this. One picture is attached.

Do gum massage with metrogyl DJ gel 2-3 times daily. Gargles 3-4 times with betadine gargle

Hello! The visible swelling in your gums can be due to either accumulation of food debris or the bracket position or wire impingement. Don’t worry, since you have pain you may take an OTC anti inflammatory medicine and it will be fine after some time.

-Take anti inflammatory medication. -Use floss after eating -Maintain good oral hygiene -See a dentist if problem persists.

Hi, this usually happens during space closure. It’s a normal Part of orthodontic treatment.
Next Steps
You will need gum removal procedure called gingivectomy between premolar and molar. your Orthodontist will get it done. You don’t have to worry about it and then the remaining space will also be closed.

Maintain good oral hygiene. Use mouthwash and warm salt water gargles daily.
