Gums swell because of deposits between gum and tooth.. It can also occur in the region of gums between two teeth. Food particles are often lodged between teeth which can lead to gum swelling and bleeding. You need to get it checked from a dentist and get the area of concern cleaned. Also, if there is a previous faulty filling between two teeth it needs to be corrected.
