Gum disease
My gums at the bottom have receded I've seen the dentist which is going to clean them., all though my teeth are clean and my breath isn't smelling I have gum disease I'm now cleaning the with an electric toothbrush flossing twice a day will my gums grow back? I did smoke up into 20 months ago

Hello mam....gum diseases are like sslow poison they dont generally give any pain but as the gums are receeding that means there is infection in the gums and that arises due to the tartar in the gums ( subgingival) and so cleaning is the first mode of treatment to stop the gums receeding further more. Later u might have to undergo flap surgery for ur gums depending on the bone levels around your teeth. Pls take out a dentap opg. And brushing or flossing is not going to help now. Gums will never grow back automatically now.
