Gum disease
I want implant supported dentures, but my dentist says because of gum disease I won't be able to have them and I don't want to go with temporary dentures as they are uncomfortable. Any recommendations about my situation? What should I do?

Once the teeth are removed there is no existence of gum disease associated with teeth. The only reason that may prevent you from getting implants would be non-availability of bone which could be a result of severe gum disease. Though all this could be confirmed with a simple CBCT scan....
