Dear sir / madam I have HBA1C reading 6.00 My orthopedic doctor gave me Knee Lite tablet which contains Glucosamine hydrochloride. Does it increase sugar levels? 15 tablets daily 1 Thanks

Hi glucosamine doesn’t raise blood sugars , but as your hba1 c is in prediabetic range routine monitoring of blood sugars every 3 to 6 months , along with life style modifications which are must… strength training exercises in conjunction with a physiotherapist, healthy diet , avoid saturated fats fried and oily foods and avoiding added sugars in diet.
