Gestation Diabetes Right Doctor?
Hi... 32+ weeks pregnant, taking thyroid 50 mcg and Labetalol 100*3 thrice. Friday's only 8 hours fasting Blood sugar 106.6 mg/dL and post Lunch Blood sugar 186.8 mg/dL (I was taking SimMom IQ plus Protein powder 3 scoops in Milk thrice a day around 250ml until Thursday night... I stopped protein since Saturday morning and no sugary fruits and zero sugar. today morning again taken Fast sugar test with exact 12 hours fasting value is 94.2 mg/dL and post Lunch Blood sugar is 145.9 mg/dL (2 hours after eating). Thyroid Profile: T3 : 1.43 ng/mL T4 : 8.82 ug/mL TSH: 3.65 uIU/mL Who is the right doctor should I consult? General Physician or Diabetologist or Endocrinologist??? Is this called Gestation Diabetes??? Do I need to take medicine at this stage of pregnancy or shall I manage it with diet only? Please suggest 🙏🙏🙏🙏
