Hi A doctor diagnosed that I have generalised anxiety disorder. Can an anxiety disorder cause all time chest tightness? All blood tests are normal Chest x-ray is also normal Doctor checked using stethoscope lungs are also fine

Anxiety disorders have physical component e.g pounding heart, feeling dizzy, sweating body pain and tightness in chest. Anxiety has psychological component restlessness, worrying, negative thinking and sleep difficulty. Psychiatrists also use a term cognitive component which means  poor concentration forgetting things in stressful situation and poor performance.

try breathing techniques. you tube clips on breathing techniques and relaxation. if still you feel the same way try physical relaxation techniques e.g Jacobson progressive muscle relaxation
