Does Nexito Ls cause brain damage if taken for months? I was suffering from anxiety and my doctor prescribed this. I'm feeling better but she asked me to continue it. Do antidepressant cause any damage in the future. I am also taking ciplar 20 will it cause any damage?

It will be advisable to stay in touch with your primary doctor who has prescribed the anti depressant at first. So that he/she can titrate the dosages downwards as per your improvement.

Don't worry. Medications for anxiety are generally taken for a longer span than usual. Their benefits are greater than the side effects(if any). The dose is tapered down accordingly and I guess your doctor might have the same thing in his/her mind. You might feel better but if stopped abruptly you can be back to square one in no time. It's not an even but a process. Trust the process. If you have any other query you can consult if and when required.
