Dentistry in itself is a speciality . But there are multiple specialities in dentistry also . Like somebody can a endodontist (root canal specialist) , pedodontist ( child specialist) , oral surgeon so on and so forth . But a general denstist is one who can perform all the procedures at his/her clinic . And incase the case is complicated he or she can call a fellow colleague who has specialization in that branch .
