I have a gap between my front teeth. I feel that is increasing with my age as it was not noticeable earlier. Please let me know the ways to close this gap. Does it require braces or some kind of filling? And how long would that take to fix it.

in your case i suspect a muscle attachment in the upper lips to the gums called the frenum. this should be relieved first and later a braces can be done to close the gap

If you have problem with your gum and bone at that area(periodontitis), then you have to correct it. After that you may go for orthodontic treatment(bracing) or veering(filling) depending upon amount of gap.
Consult with a orthodontist.
