I am having pcod and gallbladder stone 8-10. Size 1.9 cm don't know for all or for 1 or 2.
Is the surgery required or can I manage with out that.
What would be the future complications if I won't opt for surgery..
better go for laparoscopic cholecystectomy before complications arrives
because multiple calculus with large size 1.9cm will have more chances of complications

Whether you need surgery right now depends primarily on whether your gallstones are causing you symptoms, rather than their size alone. Your report notes 8 to 10 gallstones, with the largest measuring 1.9 cm. In ultrasound terminology, this means you have multiple stones, and at least one of them has grown to 1.9 cm (nearly 2 cm). Having multiple stones of this size means they are highly unlikely to dissolve with medication or pass naturally.
PCOD is associated with hormone imbalancesâspecifically higher levels of estrogen and insulin resistanceâwhich naturally increase the cholesterol saturation in your bile, making you more prone to forming gallstones.
If you are asymptomatic-you have no abdominal pain, no severe indigestion, and no nausea after eating, conservative management can be tried. This involves adopting a low-fat diet, managing PCOD-related insulin resistance, and scheduling regular follow-up ultrasounds.
If you are symptomatic--you experience biliary colicâintense, episodic pain in the upper right abdomen or back, especially after eating fatty or heavy meals, a standard, minimally invasive procedure called a laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) is strongly recommended. Please consult a gastero-intestinal surgeon in such a case.
Next Steps
consult a gastero-intestinal surgeon if symptomatic.
Better to go for laparoscopic cholecystectomy as an elective procedure. If u r not opting for it there are chance u might end up having acute episode in future
Next Steps
Consult a general surgeon and get clinically examined
I would suggest u to go for laparoscopic Cholecystectomy as early as possible though the symptoms may not be noticeable as of now but there are chances of complications after which the surgery will be obviously difficult ..
You will require surgery even if symptomatic or non symptomatic.
Go for either Robotic or laparoscopic gall bladder surgery.
If you don't go for surgery there may be possibility of developing Common bile duct stone or mild to severe pancreatitis or gall bladder may be perforate.
Your scan report shows 8 to 10 gallstones, the largest at 1.9 cm, with no sign of active inflammation and a normal bile duct right now. Whether surgery is needed usually depends on whether these stones are causing symptoms like pain after meals, bloating, or digestion trouble. Silent stones with no symptoms are sometimes just monitored, while symptomatic ones are usually removed to prevent future blockage or inflammation.
Next Steps
A general surgeon can assess your symptoms and this report together to advise if removal makes sense now or if watching is reasonable for you.
