Gallbladder stone/removal of gallbladder
My sister age is 42 years, she is diabetic (taking pills), she suffering from gallbladder stone. Doctors have suggested her for removal of gallbladder as she has to face frequent pains. Is gallbladder removal necessary for her?? What r the side effect of same?? What r the other options??

As she is diabetic, in case of infection of the gallbaldder she can have a severe type of infection called emphysematous cholecystitis, apart from other wide range of complications. She can continue to take pain medications Conservatively, but its better to take the gb out, in a specialist center its a matter of 50 minutes laparoscopically. Yes, it’s necessary. Diabetics have more complications if gall stones are not dealt with surgically. No other options. Get her operated
