Cholesterol in the gallbladder, also known as cholesterolosis, is a condition where cholesterol accumulates in the gallbladder lining, forming plaques or polyps. While it is often asymptomatic, it can occasionally lead to issues like gallstones or inflammation (cholecystitis). Risk factors include obesity, female gender, diabetes, and a sedentary lifestyle. Although you don't have symptoms now, it's important to monitor the situation as it can potentially lead to complications like pancreatitis or gallstone formation. I would recommend scheduling a consultation for a more detailed evaluation and treatment plan.
