Orthodontics treatment is always better for any crowding and spacing. Your age is no bar for orthodontics treatment but oral hygiene/ gums status is very important for that. Because if oral hygiene is compromised than you face sensitivity or may be pain in your teeth. The time for any orthodontics treatment minimum 1 to 1.5 yrs but it'll be depends upon your case (extraction or non-extraction).
Next Steps
Now proper diagnosed by orthodontist with the help of diagnostic cast, radiographs for analysis.
