Formal Milk
My son is over 2 years old, but he still hasn’t stopped drinking formula milk. What should I do? I try to give him normal milk but he didn't like the taste.

Greetings 2-year-old son refuses to stop drinking formula milk and dislikes the taste of normal milk. Continued reliance on formula at this age is consistent with prolonged bottle attachment, selective eating habits, or a simple preference for a sweeter taste profile. Transitioning away from toddler formula can be achieved by using at least three distinct methods: gradually mixing increasing amounts of whole cow's milk into the usual formula, offering cow's milk exclusively in an open or straw cup instead of a bottle, or introducing healthy dairy alternatives like plain unsweetened soy milk or yogurt.

Hello You can stop giving formula milk as he is already 2 yrs. you can introduce undiluted cows milk in small quantities initially as the amount of milk should be given around 300 mL which is sufficient. If he is rejecting you can also replace with curd, cheese, paneer.Give him a balanced diet including vegetables, whole fruits.

Hi You don’t have to force him to drink plain milk. You can offer dairy in other forms such as curd/yogurt, paneer and cheese, and use milk in porridges or other foods. At this age, formula milk is usually not necessary if he is eating a balanced diet. You can gradually reduce the formula and offer plain whole cow’s milk if he accepts it.
