Foreskin retraction and scaring
Hi Dr, I'm concerned about my penile foreskin. It has been retracted behind the head for quite some time, possibly since puberty. I don't have old photos to know if it used to cover the head normally. Earlier, I didn't pay attention because I thought the penis was mainly for urination and didn't know its role in sexual or married life. I have never watched pornography or seen an adult male naked. Recently, I noticed that my
22-year-old elder brother's foreskin fully covered his glans, with only the urinary opening visible, which made me wonder if mine is normal. I have never been circumcised. A urologist on Practo said I may have a short foreskin. Later, a female dermatologist examined me and mentioned possible fibrosis/scarring and advised complete circumcision. I felt embarrassed, but she was the only dermatologist available in my town. I've attached a photo for evaluation. Could you please advise whether this is short foreskin or scarring, and whether circumcision is necessary?

Hi this is quite normal but incomplete retraction of penis becomes problematic during sexual intercourse . It can lead do discomfort or scarring so please consult a andrologist who can examine you and advise circumcision if needed . This will not go away with any medicine .
