Foot & Ankle Surgen
Left foot partial amputation following R.T.A. Skin grafting done, heel luminous light T.A. 24×7 Ankle pain. Hence, as my foot & ankle surgen advised weather to undergo Stump Refashioning or B.N. Amputation. Therefore, need an second expert advise.

A stable pain-free stump with thick skin cover is the final goal. Will need to evaluate the stump to see the problem. Will be able to advice following that. Can arrange for video consult if you want. Dr Hitin Mathur Senior Consultant and foot and ankle specialist Max Hospital New Delhi

Below knee will be a better option as you are having a painful ankle joint. The other option will be an ankle fusion

Hello Practo User, The limb has to be salvaged as much as possible. Only in people where there is vascular compromise like Diabetes.. should a thought of B/K amputation is valid. In your case I would try to save as much limb as possible.
