How long it takes to recover from dengue fever?and to develop normal platelets counts Please let me know if platelet transfusion is require for 1.3lac platelet count As doctor told me reduce in platelet count may require platelet transfusion and today first time i saw my platelet count 1.3lac so at what level transfusion is indicated? Today is day5 of dengue fever positive result

No, it doesn't require at all Up to 10k u can wait, it depends on the condition and appearance of rashes And upto 7 days the dengue is harmful And 5th to 7th day is critical Do CBC report again after 24 hrs to check

As of now platelet transfusion require, but keep monitoring your platelet count, till your platelet count reaches to normal levels and once you feel completely better you retest your cbp and consult your doctor.

Keep your self well hydrated, drink plenty of water or fresh juices Eat fruits like kiwi papaya dates and figs

Watch for any bleeding manifestations like blood from nose or.while passing stool or black color stool or any red spots on skin, or any blood stains while coughing or vomiting—immediately consult doctor
