Fever to my son
My son who is 11 month old having fever of 101 degree we have given him peracitamol pls suggest for for further treatment. He doesn't have cold

Fever can be viral, bacterial or fungal in origin. Viral fevers are the most common cause of fevers in 70percent of cases whereas the rest could be bacterial and rarely fungal. Please use calpol 4/6/8hourly depending on fever and give lots of ors fluids to keep him hydrated. Normally viral fever get better from 4-5th day onwards.
Next Steps
If his fever doesn’t better in 3 days get his CBC,Crp,ps study for Mp,dengue Elisa Test for Ns1ag and IGM,and COVID Rapid or PCR test done in recognised labs done and see the Doctor immediately

Please see the Pediatrcian immediately if there are symptoms of dry hacking cough,cold fever,loose stools ,vomiting and lethargy and difficulty in breathing immediately

Give paracetamol....wait and watch for any other symptoms like cough and cold, or loose stools vomitting etc .....throat pain ...pain while passing urine etc ....fever usually is a symptom.along with some other condition ....

Give paracetamol every 4 hrs and plenty of water to drink wait for 48 hrs . Watch for other symptoms like cough cold vomiting loose stools.
