My baby is 14 months old..she got fever yesterday..consulted the doctor and started medication from last night..but still no reduction in fever..how long it takes to get rid of fever..pls suggest

Viral fever may take 3-4 days to reduce. U can give paracetamol every 4-6 hourly and do tepid sponging. Even after 2-3 days if fever persistent and high might need to do blood investigation and take IV medication

Can use Paracetamol 6th hrly for persistent fever spikes.. viral illness usually takes 3-5days .. most resolving by 3rd day

Usually most of the fevers are viral fever so it will there for 2-3 days meanwhile you can use paracetamol.

Give paracetamol every 6 hourly as if fever It will take  3-5 days If child is not taking orally then
