Fever from last 7 days
Sir, My brother is suffering from high fever from last 7 days. We have consulted with 2-3 doctors and they are saying that it's just a general fever. As we have done Malaria, dengue,Blood test for parasite F, platelates count and typhoid test from Lakhotia medical center. All the reports are Negative. We are giving all the prescribed medicines to him but his fever is not going. His fever count is in between 102-104.5 degree Fahrenheit all day long. Can you please suggest some treatment or reason for this type of fever.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  You haven't attached your reports or the prescription for us to know what you have and what medications you are currently taking. Get CBC, URINE COMPLETE, MP, WIDAL and DENGUE SEROLOGY done and revert back with the reports. Tab. Dolo 650 thrice a day after food. Tab. Health ok twice a day after food for 10 days. Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.

It could be drug resistant typhoid fever. Blood culture may help. Other causes like drug resistant Malaria, hidden infections like urinary or respiratory tract infections or infection of heart valves (infective endocarditis) to be considered. He needs hospitalization and thorough investigation.
