Fever from 10 days
My daughter 13 years . Last month she was having mild fever, for first 8 days fever use to come only in the evening 99.5-99.6. Then next 7 days it spiked to 101-102. Crp was 22.7 . Doc started augmentin 650. Fever went away. Again 6 days later same fever came 101-102. But she was fine in 4 days. Crp was 10.9 Esr 6. For 8 days no fever was there. Again from 17th dec she is having fever from 10 days with crp 46.6 and Esr 20. All blood reports , X-ray , usg abdomen urine and blood culture are normal. Earlier fever was rising to 103-104 in every 5/6 hours but after starting Taxim o 200 it's now rising to 102-103 in every 9-10 hours. After giving paracetamol fever completely goes off. She is not having any symptom. She is eating and playing normally. No typhoid, dengue, tuberculosis or malaria. All reports are normal. Please advice

It's self resolving, because antibiotic don't work on viral disease even paracetamol also ., its reduce pain control only. So dont worry its gone own.

Good question. One of the most common reasons for having high grade fever is viral fever . The reason taxim didn't work because it's an antibiotic and they don't work on viruses. Also paracetamol itself doesn't treat infection but it is an antipyretic thus your daughter's fever was controlled. So basically there's no actual treatment for viral fever . It's a self remitting condition, your daughter will be okay within a week.👍
