Greetings. First Relax Find out cause of fever which is not responding to paracetamol. It is infection some where..It may be viral. Follow:1. Hydration.2. To record temp on foreheag and write down actual recorded temp. Do cold sponges use paracetamol15mg per kg per dose. Syrup comes in 125ml/ 5ml of syrup or 250mg/5ml of syrup. Accordingly give it.
Give plenty of water or other fluids. Do blood test CBC, routine urine test, then test for covid and Dengue and malaria. CONSULT pediatrician after taking prior appointment. Take care of nutrition
102 is quiet high. You should also do tepid sponging. If fever is not reducing with paracetamol and tepid sponging, you can use Syp. Meftal , 1.5ml, upto three times a day. Meftal is not advised in patients with covid though.
The fever takes time to reduce, you can give paracetamol in prescribed dose once in 6 hours for 2 days
As long as the baby is active, taking feeds well don’t worry
Give plenty of fluids
Ensure the baby is voiding urine 6 to 8 times per day
