Hi, Old age can make so many thoughts in mind. As a person thinks that, she/he is not useful anymore and why she/he should be alive. She needs psychologist/therapist to help her for these thoughts. I suggest, avoid medicine as side effects of medicine can be harmful for old ages. She needs a psychologist/therapist to help her and evaluate the situation with more details. Please consult with a psychologist/therapist as soon as possible. And of course she needs your support. Please take care.
