Febrile seizure
My baby will be 1 year tomorrow. And he had fever yesterday night.99.1 was the temperature.. i gave him paracetamol 250.. morning his body heat was high. I was about to take to him to hospital and it happened. His eyes Froze.we took him to emergency. Temperature was 101.4, suppository 170 mg was given.. pediatrician consulted said its febrile seizure. And it will go away once he's older.. and gave frisium, dolo.. vomiting and cold medicine. Suppository was given at 9.30 am. now he's still warm. I'm doing tepid sponging.. he hasn't eaten anything. Morning he had 150ml of formula and that's it. He's refusing to eat anything now and he's sleeping.. what should I do now.. I'm unable to process anything in my mind. He's a active kid.. while we came out of the hospital, he clapped and said bye to everyone. He started walking around 11 months. please pour your suggestion. He indeed had a cold. Pediatrician checked his chest and found that out. Since he had no running nose. His weight is 9kg

These are seizures that happen in some kids at this age. Can happen upto 6 yrs
Next Steps
Since frisium already prescribed, it can be given. But it's OK to not give it for every such seizure since it causes no brain damage
Health Tips
Keep child on one side when seizure happens and take him to hosp if lasts longer than 5 mts. Manage fever with pcm

If he is not eating and dull throughout the day, better to get him admitted for intravenous fluids and monitoring. Most likely the seizure will not occur again. But dehydration and weakness due to fever can occur

Febrile seizures are common in children . It's not serious and usually does not come back as child grows older . Give small meals at frequent intervals and give lots of fluids
