Febrile seizure
Dear Doctor Recently my son 2.9yrs. got febrile seizure due to high fever from high puss cells in urine and stool. Is puss cells caused due to cooking oil doctor recently we shifted from refined oil to rice bran oil. Pls suggest is rice bran oil is good to continue. Regards Prashanth

Febrile sezures occures due to high grade fever.fever may be due to uti. Manage fever aggressively in future. No oil connection with f.seizures

Hi, It is difficult to comment whether your baby has got urinary tract infection Needs reports to be uploaded May need urine culture to be done With the available reports, please meet a paediatrician nearby for furthur advice changing oil will not cause febrile seizure nor urinary infection

Pus cell in urine might be due to UTI. Need to investigate with Urine culture. Some pus cells in stools is normal. Febrile seizures can reoccur till 5 yrs. So keep thermometer handy. Any temp more than 100F use paracetamol syrup. Rice brand oil is totally safe
