Extra renal pelvis
Hi what is extra renal pelvis noted?I got my abdomen test and it said that I have an extra renal pelvis and I don't know what it means can you please tell me what it is?

It means that the collection system of the kidney (for urine) has a slight aberration.
Normally all urine produced by the kidney from nephrons is collected and pushed to the ureter for final excretion from the body. Renal pelvis is a funnel like structure which collects urine and from the renal pelvis it goes to the ureter. Normally there is only one pelvis (funnel) for each kidney. If there is an additional collecting system which drains some parts of the kidney then it will be known as "extra renal pelvis".
Nothing to worry about . You should just know that you have it.
