I have been experiencing a very severe cold and a dry cough for the past 3 days. I took some medicines from a medical store which helped a little but I am still sneezing a lot. For the last 2 days waking up in the morning has been the most difficult task for me. It feels like I have a fever at night. There is a continuous burning sensation in my palms and the soles of my feet. My head feels incredibly heavy making it very challenging to wake up. Along with this I have mild pain in my lower back and legs that feels like a physical wound. After eating food and taking medicine during the day I feel a bit better in the evening but the nights mornings and afternoons are very heavy. I fall into such a deep sleep that I wake up with a headache feeling as if someone had been pressing down on my head. I also see strange dreams related to fighting while asleep. I am experiencing weakness severe cold and a dry cough. My body is not extremely hot but it constantly remains warm.

You could be having viral flu.
Take tab sinarest every 8hours for 4 days.
Tab azithromycin 500mg one daily for 5 days.
Tusq d cough syp 5ml every 8hours for 5days days.
Do steam inhalation with karvol capsule, 2 to 3 times daily and hot saline gargles.
The combination of severe cold, dry cough, night fever, burning palms and soles, heavy head, body aches in back and legs, and deep sleep with headache strongly suggests a viral infection â likely influenza (flu) or a flu-like illness. The burning sensation in palms and soles with body aches is particularly characteristic of influenza. This is more than a common cold and explains why OTC medicines gave only partial relief. Flu typically lasts 5-7 days with the worst symptoms in the first 3-4 days, often peaking at night.
Next Steps
Rest completely and stay well hydrated. Take paracetamol for fever and body aches. If fever rises above 103°F, you develop difficulty breathing, chest pain, or symptoms worsen significantly after day 5, see a doctor in person immediately. A rapid influenza test can confirm the diagnosis if needed. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

Hi,
Based on your symptoms, this is most likely an acute viral upper respiratory tract infection (viral fever/common cold), but COVID-19, influenza, or a secondary bacterial infection cannot be ruled out without an examination.
For now:
Stay well hydrated and take adequate rest.
Continue warm fluids and steam inhalation 2–3 times daily.
For fever, headache, or body ache, you may take Paracetamol 650 mg every 6–8 hours as needed (maximum 3 g/day), unless contraindicated.
Avoid taking antibiotics without a doctor's prescription.
If possible, check your temperature and oxygen saturation regularly.
Next Steps
Visit a physician within the next 24 hours for a physical examination.
You may require tests such as CBC and, depending on local prevalence and symptoms, COVID-19/Influenza testing if clinically indicated.
Seek emergency medical care immediately if you develop:
Difficulty breathing
Persistent high fever
Chest pain
Confusion or excessive drowsiness
Oxygen saturation below 94%
Health Tips
If your symptoms persist beyond 5–7 days, worsen, or new symptoms such as productive cough, severe sore throat, or persistent high fever develop, you should be re-evaluated by a doctor, as additional treatment may be required.
