Ideally need to be examined to assess the extent of damage as you have said it's failed and not given any details regarding which part of the surgery has failed. Coming to the exercises : It would be good to meet a sports medicine physiotherapist as they would be best to assess the amount of muscle wasting and channize your exercises to increase the muscle strength and tone. You need to strengthen your knee by doing quadriceps exercises which are straight leg raising lying down and sitting followed by heel press. You also have to do a little bit of hamstring strengthening to maintain equilibrium of knees.
Next Steps
meet a sports medicine physiotherapist
