Excessive sweating of palms, soles and Underarms can be treated successfully with Botox injections once a year. It is USFDA approved treatment. It is one time procedure. Application of solutions containing Aluminum hydroxide can help for few hours but could be harmful in long term use. Iontophoresis can be done twice a week. Instrument needs to be bought. It is cumbersome to keep doing it.

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is a problem where body produces sweat in excess of what is required by the body to cool down. Hence, even in cold environment you are experiencing excessive sweating. This gets troublesome when in palms as your palms becomes slippery due to excess sweat and you have to constantly carry napkin to keep palms dry. This problem is more common on palm and soles but can also happen from other sites like underarms, nose, etc. There are many reasons for hyperhidrosis and most common reason is anxiety related ,others being some medicines, diabetes, hormonal issues, genetic, etc. Treatment of hyperhidrosis starts with finding the root cause and addressing that if possible (for example if anxiety is the reason we give anti anxiety medicines). Other treatment options can used to control excessive sweating temporarily like applying Aluminium chloride hexahydrate 20%,Iontophoresis, botulinum toxin injections, etc. Also oral medicines can be given if required.
Next Steps
