To alleviate upper respiratory tract infection symptoms, try combining rest and hydration with over-the-counter medications like pain relievers and decongestants, using a humidifier to ease congestion, gargling with salt water to soothe a sore throat, inhaling steam from a bowl of hot water or a steam inhaler, drinking warm liquids like tea or broth, and practicing good hygiene like frequent handwashing, all while allowing your body time to recover and considering consultation with a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen.
