High ESR is a nonspecific marker and does not itself explain persistent eye pain or chest/upper abdominal discomfort. Persistent eye pain or difficulty opening the eyes needs examination to exclude ocular inflammation, infection and pressure-related causes. I would not rely on the ESR alone or continue treatment without review.
Next Steps
Arrange an urgent in-person eye examination today, especially if vision is blurred, redness, vomiting or severe headache occurs. Carry your reports and treatment details; you may book a Practo consult or visit me at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital Miraj.
