Hi. Recently I undergone ultrasound scan due to my irregular periods and heavy bleeding for more than 15 days. My result was as follows:
Uterus: anteverted , measures 7.5 x 4.0 x 30 CM
Endometrium shows smooth diffuse echogenic thickening with smooth border and small cystic spaces measuring 20mm. Colo Doppler shows no significant internal vascularity.
Ovaries: Right ovary measures 3.5 x 2.6 x 2.2 CM , vol:10 cc
Left ovary measures 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.2 CM, vol:10 cc
Bilateral enlarged round ovaries with echogenic central stroma and >12 peripherally places cysts ( measuring<9mm in diameter).
Minimal free fluid in POD.
Impression:
1. PCOD
2. Mild simple cystic endometrial hyperplasia (ET : 20mm)
Can anyone say regarding endometrial hyperplasia and what is the cause of this? Is endometrium with 20 mm is serious thing? What should I do?

Endometrial hyperplasia is there. But there is no PCOD.
Please consult a Gynaecologist in your area. Such problems need long treatment. So it is better if it is a physical consultation.
