Does an electric toothbrush (operating on AA battery) have any real benefit over a manual toothbrush?

Hello sir... Both electric tooth brush and manual tooth brush are equally effective if you use with proper technique and long enough...electric tooth brush may make brushing easier and makes better plaque removal... Electric tooth brush is mostly indicated for kids, people with motor nerve problem,mentally challenged one...

Yes they r for small kids and yes they are beneficial for kids as child don't brush properly so by vibration it removes all the debris

Definitely powered brushes have benefit for those with motor problems (those who have a problem with hand movements eg spastic individuals). Also because of their vibrations they can remove food effectively so good for children who are always in a hurry to finish brushing.
