Both tricita and amazeo can cause withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly. There can be decreased sleep, tremors, restlessness etc. It is advisable to taper off slowly. Make them half in dosage for a week before stopping until you meet your doctor next
Do not discontinue by your own as your son can have relapse of symptoms and this will need more time and medications to control and bring back on to stable state. Continue till you seek help of other psychiatrist. If Pateint remains on good compliance doctor can reduce his medication slowly so be compliant towards medication.
Do not discontinue the medications on your own. Even if he is doing well the psychiatrist takes into consideration various things before tapering the medication down or stopping. If your Psychiatrist is not available, consult any other astute psychiatrist either in person or online and seek remedy.Good luck
Do not discontinue medicines abruptly. There is a proper tapering regimen of medicines depending on the symptom profile. Discontinuation without supervision might lead to relapse.
