Hi good morning, Dry cough is due to throat irritation due to various causes like infection, allergies, reflux, etc. As you don't have any other symptoms to suggest infection, it is bit difficult to tell you the exact cause at present, without talking to you. You may observe it for few days to subside with home remedy like salt water gargles and steam inhalation. If the need arrise you may consult online.
