I have dry cough but it's not constant . I did chest x-ray it's normal. Even did phelgm test it's negative both times. I have vitamin D deficiency I'm taking medication for that. For cough Im taking amrutarishta twice a day. Drinking warm water even doing homemade remedies like ginger honey tulsi kadha. It's helping but not completely. Now after phelgm test came negative they telling me to go for CBNAAT test please can anyone explain me what is this test for tuberculosis and is it compulsory to do and what will be it's outcome?
I'm really scared and constant thinking about this test. Please help

It is tested for Tb.This is done free in govt hospital. Tb is common in india.any cough more than 2 weeks, suspect Tb.so pl do the test.pl consult Pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment.
