Hello. Life style modification is as important as medicines in suppressing simple infections. Please avoid any types of fruits with sugars till the cough subsides. Avoid all kinds of milk products in the evening including curd and ghee since they all act as a medium for the infectious organisms to grow. And keep him well hydrated by making him take sips of warm water through out the day. Any infection can't sustain in a well hydrated body .
Next Steps
along with the aerodril syrup which is being taken thrice daily, ask him to take montelukast tablet one in the morning and one in the night for the next three days.
Health Tips
let us avoid antibiotics. if the cough doesn't suppress for more than 3 days let's think about it
