Drastic fluctuation in Thyroid level
My sister has been suffering from Thyroid since 3 years. She has been on medication ever since then. In July, her TSH level was 6.02. She switched to Thyronorm 75 from Thyronorm 62.5. Yesterday, she got her Thyroid profile repeated. Now her TSH is increased to 49.58. She has never missed dose of her medicine. Is such drastic fluctuation possible? The lab that performed the test is Thyrocare.

Repeat the TSH ,free T4 and anti thyroid peroxidase antibody in an accredited laboratory There are few reasons for the sudden increase in TSH level : any recent illness, lab error, poor absorption of the thyroxin or non adherence to using it properly
