Every now and then I get this low feeling and I stop eating for a few days and I exclude myself from people and then a few days after I feel so much better. It's as if nothing ever happened.

Dear patient. The symptoms described by you indicate presence of a depressive disorder recurrent type. However the duration between episodes and the duration for which you are feeling alright is not clear which would have a bearing on diagnosis and further management.
