Doubt about side effects
I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease myasthenia Gravis. For the same, I am getting ayurvedic treatment. Which my physician says may last long. I didn't go for allopathy treatment as it contains dosage of steroids while ayurvedic medicine are said to have no side effects. Although I was going through internet and found that ayurvedic bhasm contain heavy metals and may be toxic. I just wanted to know that How serious is it, especially when I am taking medicine under supervision of doctor. Are there any cases of toxicity in reality? What precautions shall I take?

Myasthenia gravis is correlated with vatavyadhi in ayurveda. Bhasma preparation is prescribed in it's line of treatment in very little quantity 100mg to 10gms depennding upon your physical constitution. Untill you are taking medications in the supervision of a qualified ayurveda doctor you need not to worry about it. As these metals undergo various purificatory procedure. So it won't harm you. While attending you your doctor well know which medicine in what quantity for what duration is suitable for your body. So you just relax and take proper medication on time as suggested by your doctor you will definitely get benefitted.

If you are under supervision of an Ayurveda physician than you should clear the doubts from ur physician itself. Why I am saying so because if you don't get full confidence on your medications, the physical body will not get the desired cure irrespective of the quality of treatment. Now regarding Heavy Metals in Ayurvedic compositions the equation is much different from modern perspective. Bhasmas are totally different from its metallic composition, as they undergo huge oxidative transformation. (Provided the medicines are from a authentic company.) Stay blessed with Ayurveda- the knowledge of life.

It depends which formulation you are taking and of what quality / brand . According to Ayurveda, every bhasm or ras aushadi is purified and cleaned very deeply with several procedures .The cases you studied on internet may have taken wrong combinations or wrong dosage etc. Ayurveda is very safe and effective.

It depends upon which medicine your taking currently. What classical or patent medicine your are taking. Ask this question to that consultant from whom you are taking treatment. Because he knows what medicine your taking. Asking blindly questions without knowing name of medicine you will not get correct answer
