Dog scratch
“In the last 3 years, I have received the rabies vaccine twice. The second time was about 6 months after the first, and since I had already been vaccinated, the doctor gave me only 2 booster doses instead of the full 4-dose course. Now, I had a minor incident with a dog — there was no bite, no bleeding, and no visible scratch. I only lightly bumped into the dog, and later felt slight itching on my skin, but I couldn’t find any injury or broken skin. I washed the area immediately. Given this history, I want to know if I need to take the rabies vaccine again, or if the previous vaccinations still provide protection.”

When did you take last vaccination? Right now, if no bite, no scratch,  vaccine is not needed.

Since you are previously vaccinated, no need to take complete vaccination. Booster doses are sufficient in the event of exposure. From history it doesnt seem like any exposure was there, so relax and dont panic. Take TAB.CETRIZINE one per night for 3 nights if itching persists.
