Dog bite injection
Hi doctor, I got scratch and slight scare of dog bite. Just wanted to check should I need to take a vaccination. I got a TT injection dose on 11th June. And had by rabies vaccination last year in June as i was bit again last year by my pup .please let me know if I need to take any other vaccine.

You need not repeat Inj Tetvac. But you have to take the Anti Rabies vaccine because the scratch and scare of the bite is from a stray dog.

if it was a minor scratch you need not worry, if it was a big scratch with bleeding or oozing of fluid then it is always better to get vaccinated.

wash your wound soap and water as it reduces the viral load if present at all.

TT you don't need to take as you have got that recently. About antirabies, it's is important to know what is the vaccination status of puppy, weather your puppy has any complaint, weather the bite was provoked or unprovoked and the severity of bite which is mild in you said. So better to seek medical advice.
