Firstly you need to treat your blood sugars and bring it under good control. Poor blood sugars lead to initial leak of protein and if untreated leads to further impact on kidneys damaging it further leading to CKD. Also please check for urine microscopy to rule out underlying UTI which is common with raised blood sugars. If u r newly diagnosed diabetic pls seek Consultation With Diabetes spl/endocrinologist and get u r blood sugars titrated with right amount of oral /injectable diabetic medication followed by good diet and exercise regimen.
Next Steps
Once you find u r Fasting sugars are below 120 to 125 mg/dl and post prandials are below 180 mg/dl, repeat urine micro Albuminuria and 24 hrs urine creatinine test to understand if u r affected with early CKD. And can continue treatment with related specialists accordingly.
