Distal Radius Fracture
I have had a wrist fracture 2 days ago. My doctor treated me with POP cast for four weeks as surgery is not an option for me. I am too much worried. Will this be healed without surgery? What are the chances of permanent deformity without surgery? Will I be able to go back to the previous state prior to my injury? Please suggest ! TIA.

Hello Could you also provide the x ray done after cast application. You need to be vigilant about the reduction. If the fracture reduction is lost then bone may malunite. You need to keep repeating x rays yo check appropriate position. Once bone heals you would need to do physiotherapy for regaining strength and function.

Kindly consult for further details
