I dislocated my knee 2 weeks ago and my foot and ankle has now swelled up probably about 3 times the size it normally is and I can no longer move it as easier as I could. The doctor gave me some medication for it but has had no effect. I also had a huge leg spasm today while I was asleep which woke me up where my whole leg was shaking. When I dislocated it, the patella was out for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours. They did no x-ray or MRI etc. I’m worried that it could be more serious. Thank you

Yes this is serious issue.
After any dislocation, the joint had to be immobilised for 4-6 weeks.
Knee is a major weight bearing joint thus 6 weeks immobilisation is for sure. You can do static quadriceps exercises though. Apply local ice packs.
Next Steps
You should undergo x-rays and MRI for sure (100%) to check on the damage of knee structures.
Health Tips
