Knee effusion + bakers cyst from 2 month
Hi, I got knee pain 2 months ago and I went to doctor and he said it's knee effusion and suggested tablets and physiotherapy. It gets better I will be able to walk properly. But after few days the swelling comes back and I cannot walk at all. I am not able to bend and straighten my leg fully. I did the blood test for uric acid : 6.1, RA factor: 19.2, ESR: 42 and then crp: 11.2. The doctor said it is because of high protein diet but I used to get the swelling if I walk or stand more. After that, I got the MRI done and it shows knee effusion and bakerscyst and very small acl fragments tear. Now the doctor says we need to remove the cyst with orthroscopy. But is it really needed? I am struggling with this from last 2 months, please help.
