I have been facing radiating leg pain in right leg for past 3 weeks. Medicines helped in 1st week but not working much now.
MRI Report says:
Grade 1 retrolisthesis of L5 over Sl vertebra. This with right paracentral herniation of L5-S1 iv disc
and an adjacent sequestered fragment is causing is compression over emerging nerve roots on right
side, indentation over thecal sac and narrowing of the iv foramen on left side.
-Posterior bulge of L4-5 iv disc is causing narrowing of the iv foramen, bilaterally.
On consultation with Orthopedic surgeon Dr S N Yadav in Ranchi Jharkhand, he suggested Discectomy.
Similar suggestion was made by a Neurosurgeon Dr Sai Sudarshan, Pulse Hospital, Ranchi, Jharkhand as well.

Kindly suggest whether to go ahead with surgery or refer to bigger hospitals like CMC Vellore?
